Uni Year 2 - Semester 2
These were some experimentation pieces I did for my self-initiated project.
They are meant to illustrate the endless consumerism of animal products and how people seem to forget how the products are mass-produced by less-than-savoury means.
Initially I did the design with lino prints but then converted the designs into risograph prints. Additionally, I tried an inverted colour palette for the lino posters.

The initial lino prints in my sketchbook.

These were the original 4 lino prints. The repetitive pattern was to show the endless conveyor belt of production and the shadow in the background was to show the "ghost" of the animal that produced them.

These are the same 4 design but with inverted colours. I wanted to try a more eerie approach.

These are the risograph posters. I overlayed the new animal sketches with the old linoprint layer and then printed in two different colours. I chose red and blue for a contrast and to represent the blood spilled for consumerism.
I also tried a red and green combo, the green representing the profit gain for humans and the red representing the lives lost.
